Carbs & Sugar

Blood Sugar (Glucose)

The amount of sugar in your blood, which spikes from carbs and settles on a low-carb diet.

Blood sugar, or glucose, is the sugar circulating in your blood. Carb-heavy meals spike it, prompting insulin and, over time, cravings and crashes. The Proper Human Diet keeps blood sugar steadier by limiting carbs. If you take medication for blood sugar, work with your doctor, because it can drop quickly.
