The Carnivore Diet: An Extreme Weight Loss Hack
Introduction
Are you someone who has a lot of weight to lose or have tried multiple diets without success? If so, I have a diet hack that might be just what you need. It’s a bit extreme, but it’s designed to help you lose fat while keeping your muscles strong and your brain working well. This is the Carnivore Diet.
Hacking Your Hormones
The Carnivore Diet is designed to hack two of your hormones: insulin and human growth hormone. Insulin’s main job is to store energy in the form of glucose and other sugar molecules as fat. When your insulin level is high, it’s hard to burn the fat you’ve already stored. The Carnivore Diet aims to keep your insulin levels low, making it easier for you to burn fat.
Human growth hormone helps protect your muscle mass and can even help you gain new muscle. The Carnivore Diet keeps your growth hormone levels high, helping you maintain your muscle mass while you lose fat.
The Diet Plan
The Carnivore Diet involves reducing your carbohydrate intake to as close to zero grams per day as possible. This keeps your blood sugar levels low, which can be beneficial if you’re dealing with type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, or insulin resistance.
The diet includes eating as much as you want of the following foods: beef (or any meat from a cow, sheep, or goat), eggs, butter, liver (or other organ meats), and bacon. You can also use salt to taste, and drink water, coffee, or tea.
The Eating Schedule
The Carnivore Diet does not involve calorie restriction or portion control. However, it does involve eating either one large meal a day or two large meals a day within a six-hour window, with no eating during the remaining 18 hours of the day.
Overcoming Withdrawal Symptoms
The diet may cause withdrawal symptoms for those who are addicted to sugar or carbohydrates. These symptoms can include fatigue, headache, achiness, and sleep disturbances. But don’t worry, these symptoms are temporary and are a sign that your body is adjusting to the new diet.
My Experience with the Carnivore Diet
I have been following this diet for about 14 months and I can honestly say that I feel better at age 50 than I did at age 35. I have lost body fat on this diet that I was unable to lose on a ketogenic diet.
Remember, while I report positive results from this diet, it is quite restrictive and may not be suitable for everyone. Always consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new diet or exercise program.
